Response to Colonialism in the Novels of Chinua Achebe and Kiran Desai is a detailed study of the novels of Chinua Achebe and Kiran Desai with particular focus on Things Fall Apart (1958) and The Inheritance of Loss (2006) respectively, representing two different periods of the post-colonial era. The book is also an analytical and comparative study of the literature of Africa and that of India and also the literature's of some other countries, once colonized and their response to colonialism. Some prominent authors of the post-colonial literature's in English evincing the spirit of response to colonialism in their works have relevantly been talked of in this book. The book also presents a binding picture of the Pan Commonwealth literature response to colonialism.
