This volume critically explores the domains of human intelligence in various traditions, including the Western scholarship, and constructively orients the study of intelligence in relation to culture and environmental context. After presenting an up-to-date review of the state-of-the-art in the field of intelligence research, it ventures to adopt an innovative approach to understand intelligence in the Indian cultural context following the analysis of Suktis, Hindi proverbs, and the views of the lay people in different parts of India.
