This book recounts the hunting trips and experiences of Samuel Baker in the Jungles of Ceylon around the 1850’s. In describing these trips he does not use the anecdote of any other hunetr and the entire book is written in the first person. Describing the individual risks and hair breath escapes, this book will appeal to people who love jungle adventures. He describes the various wildlife, such as: elephants, buffaloes, deer, elk, and buck among others.
