Robinson Crusoe is a novel named after the protagonist Robinson Crusoe, who is stranded on a deserted island, which in the end brings about a constructive transformation in his life. Summary of the Book Crusoe is on a sea expedition from the Queen’s Dock of Hull, against the will of his parents. They wished if he could make a career in the field of law. His ship is wrecked by a storm, but Crusoe’s desire for the sea makes him start all over again. On a fateful day, his ship is seized by pirates, and he is burdened by a Moor. Crusoe escapes from the hands of the pirates with the aid of a young man called Xury. He is then helped by a Portuguese sailing captain who shows him the way to Brazil, where he starts his sugar plantation. He starts making a lot of money, and then plans on bringing back the slaves from Africa. However, he is shipwrecked again. And this time, he lands up on a lonely island. He begins to plant rice, corn, and barley, and makes his own furniture, pots, and baskets. He also begins to tame goats, and trains dogs, cats, and even a parrot. One day, Crusoe finds footprints on the shore, he is astonished to find that there were other people on the island. But they were cannibals who held a man named Friday captive. Crusoe rescues Friday from the cannibals. What happens next? Who is Friday and would he and Crusoe be able to leave the island? Do they find more people there? James Fisher’s Boarding School, Surrey. Defoe wedded Mary Tuffley in the year 1684. He was also into business as the general merchant of hosiery, wine, and all-purpose wooden goods. He has also penned more than 500 books, and journals on a wide spectrum of topics like psychology, marriage, politics, religion, and the supernatural. He passed away in the year 1731.
