Robotics is an applied engineering science that has been referred to as a combination of machine tool technology and computer science. It includes diverse fields such as machine design, control theory, microelectronics, computer programming, artificial intelligence, human factors and production theory. The present book provides a comprehensive introduction to robotics. The book covers a fair amount of kinematics and dynamics of the robots. This book will be useful for mechanical, electrical, electronics and computer engineering students.||About the Author: Appu Kuttan KK is working as professor in Mechanical Engineering, NITK, Surathkal. He has worked as Head of the department during 2000-2004. Eleven Ph.D students have completed their degree under his guidance. He has contributed more than one hundred papers in international and national journals and conferences. He has 25 years of teaching and 22 years of research experience. His areas of interest are CAD/CAM, Robotics, Mechatronics, Finite element method, Smart materials and Control engineering.
