The Samunder Jhag looks like Sea foam and is acquired from the Sea. It is the inner shell of Cuttlefish, which is rich in Calcium, Carbon and Amino acids. Samuder Jhag is avidly used in herbal products and is said to be used in various medicines, toothpaste etc., because for its Calcium content. As it is hard, Samuder Jhag is finely powdered and mixed with various agents to be used as medicine. It has been also used as Bird feed and for making moulds to make craft jewellery of Gold etc. It is said to be good for treating ear infections, skin problems, to enhance skin quality and is used as a face pack by mixing the powder with other ingredients.
