He writes non-fiction books. Vaibhav Purandare has personal associations with Tendulkar. He was taught by Sachin Tendulkar’s father, Professor Ramesh Tendulkar. He was also an aspiring cricketer, and he was coached by the same man who coached Sachin Tendulkar. He has seen up close Tendulkar’s many achievements on the field from a young age. Purandare began his career with the magazine Blitz, and has since worked in many of India’s leading publications like The Indian Express, Mid Day, The Asian Age, DNA, and Mumbai Mirror. Currently, he is the Associate Editor of Hindustan Times in Mumbai.
