A mystery novel by James Patterson and Howard Roughan, Sail is the story of a single mother and her family whose boating trip goes horribly wrong. Summary of the Book Anne Dunne is struggling to keep her family intact. Reeling from her husband's death, she believes that a sailing vacation will bring her family together. However, barely an hour into the vacation, things begin to go wrong. As things turn from bad to worse, the boat explodes and everyone assumes the family lost. That is until a bottle with a note saying the Dunnes are alive floats to the shore. About the Authors James Patterson is a bestselling American writer.
