Saraswati’s Secret River is a beautifully illustrated story which is a part of the bestselling Fun in Devlok series penned down by bestselling author, Devdutt Pattanaik. The story is about the missing River Saraswati and the author beautifully relates it to the missing elements of the present day education system in our country. Mrs. Sivakami, the principal of Madame Mira High School, is surprised to find Goddess Saraswati wandering the corridors of her school. The goddess is in search of a missing river! In order to show the principal the ancient river which no longer exists and what exactly happened to it, Saraswati puts Mrs. Sivakami on the back of the Hansa and off they go exploring. The principal sees things which make her realize the plight of the modern-day education system and the importance of taking initiatives in life. Replete with beautiful and colorful illustrations, this book will make for an engaging read for young readers. About Devdutt Pattanaik Devdutt Pattanaik is an Indian physician turned leadership consultant, mythologist and prolific author. He has written several books on Hindu mythology, including Myth = Mithya: A Handbook of Hindu Mythology and Jaya: An Illustrated Retelling of the Mahabharata. He is currently based out of Mumbai.
