This is Perhaps the most beautiful of all Cayenne Pepper varieties. The Cayenne Purple is a dark vibrant purple variant of the standard red Cayenne. The peppers go from a dark purple and eventually to red when fully ripe. They are of a mild to medium heat. The plants are quite compact but can become tall and have wonderful white and purple flowers. This Pepper makes a great ornamental edible pepper.
