Gandhi completed his early education from the Samaldas College in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. He obtained his degree as a Barrister from the University College London. After an endeavour to start his profession in India, Gandhi went to South Africa to work as a legal representative. He worked for twenty one years there. He then became the only man in the history of freedom struggle to whose call, an entire nation stood on its toes to fight against the British regime. He was assassinated by Nathuram Godse in 1948.
