Rudraksha is not a fruit; it is the seed of a fruit that comes from the tree species known as Elaeocarpus ganitrus. The Rudraksha tree produces small, round, berry-like fruits that contain the seeds we commonly refer to as Rudraksha beads. These seeds have a hard outer shell and a unique pattern of facets or "mukhis" on their surface
