About Donald Neamen Donald Neamen is the Professor Emeritus at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of New Mexico, his alma mater. Dr. Neamen worked at the Solid State Sciences Laboratory at the Hanscom Air Force Base for a while before returning to academics, teaching semiconductor physics and devices, and electronics courses. Dr. Neamen was presented the Outstanding Teacher Award from the University of New Mexico. He received the Faculty Recognition Award in 1990 and consecutively from 1994 through 2001. In 1994, he was presented the Teaching Excellence Award in the College of Engineering. Among Dr. Neamen’s other publications is An Introduction to Semiconductor Devices.
