About The Authors Angie Sage is a British writer and illustrator. Some of the other books written by Angie Sage under the Septimus Heap series include Book Two: Flyte, Book Three: Physik, Book Four: Queste, and The Magykal Papers. Her books fall under the teenage fantasy genre. Sage was born in 1952 in Thames Valley, England. She studied graphic design and illustration. When Sage was young, her father, a publisher, would bring home blank books that she would fill with stories and pictures. She initially illustrated books for children. Mark Zug is an American graphic artist and illustrator. Books illustrated by Zug include those from the Septimus Heap series and an adaptation of I, Robot. Zug was born in 1956 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA. His passion for painting found expression in the form of sketches of dinosaurs and superheroes when he was a child. Zug’s first big break came in the form of Harlan Ellison’s illustrated adaptation of I, Robot in 1992.
