The present text in 3 volumes series contains detailed procedures for more than 500 multi-component formulations. Each formulation contains detailed analytical procedure as protocol along with typical densitogram of the sample/standard or both and also overlaid UV-spectra of analyses to help analysts select suitable wavelength for densitometric scanning. In addition to comprehensive introduction and a special chapter on validation of HPTLC method the analytical methods for different formulations have been arranged in broader pharmacological activities i.e. cardiovascular system musculoskeletal disorders antibiotics central nervous system respiratory system alimentary system preparations for external use and miscellaneous formulations such as anti diabetic drugs cholesterol lowering drugs etc. About the Author Dr. P. D. Sethi obtained his Ph.D. from Madras University Chennai (TamilNadu) India. He has been pursuing his analytical career for the last 35 years. All the books authored by him are on practical application of different analytical techniques for analysis of multi-component drug formulations.These books are the only kind on the subject. While serving as Chairman Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India Dr. Sethi was instrumental in adopting TLC for finger·print profiling of medicinal plants for their correct identification.
