Shiv PuranaNeedless to emphasise that the Shiv Purana comprises the most authentic details about Lord Shiva. The whole treatise on ancient knowledge has been converted into small stories in this book for easy comprehensions of our readers. Most of the details which are repititive and already mentioned in our ‘Vishnu Purana’ have been briefly recounted for saving on space. at times there appeared some confusion about the details which have been hinted in the foootnotes. Since most of these stories are allegorical in genre, their true significance has also been suggested with in the parenthesis. In short, what you have in your hands is an essential translation cum explanation of the Shiv Purana.Vishnu PuranaThe Vishnu Purana is believed to be one of the most important Puranas and most valuable ancient records of the faith called ‘Sanatan Dharma’ which erroneously often called the Hindu Dharma. It has its value enhanced for two reasons; one, it has detailed description of how a man should live in the world. Secondly, since its base is devoiton to Vishnu who is held to be the most important deity of this faith it gathers added significance. Its stories reveal about the various exploits of Vishnu in his different incarnations. But surprisingly it omits certain important incarnation of Vishnu viz. Ram incarnation and the earlier incarnations. It chiefly centres around the incarnation of Vishnu as lord Krishna, the most potent one all the incarnations of this deity.Garud PuranGarun Puran is a matchless scripture of satvik category. it is said that reading or listening to the narration of garud puran not only brings happiness in the present life but also takes one closer to the divinity. therefore, all human beings, particularly Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and sikhs must acquire the deep knowledge enshrined in this scripture. the Garud Puran also aims at establishing a welfare society not only for human beings but also for all creatures and also paves the way for well being of the entire ecology and creation.
