Shiva: The Legends of the Immortal – Book III, compiled by Kshitish Padhey, is a delightful graphic novel about the creation of Lord Ganesh and his commitment to his mother’s words, to the extent of challenging Lord Shiva himself. Summary of the Book Parvati and Lord Shiva are in a long wedded harmony until Shiva, one day, enters her bath chamber without seeking her permission. She is infuriated with Nandi’s failure to stop Shiva and hence creates her own guard and calls him Ganapati, Lord Ganesh, as he is famous as. Once Lord Shiva wants to see Parvati but she would in the bath chamber at the time. When Shiva approaches her, Ganesh stops him. Shiva is extremely furious at this gesture and the little boy has to choose between fighting his father and being devoted to his work of guarding his mother. This book has a captivating narration of the story along with very imaginative illustrations. It is one of the best creations published by Vimanika Comics.
