Harivansh-Puran is the last chapter of great epic Mahabharat. It is a long standing tradition to recite the puran for the sake of continued family line with sons. Many devotees have obtained desired blessings from this. The book also contains many stories of devotion and life-enriching values and rare insight in activities of Shri Krishna. In the end of the book some devotional rituals like santan-gopal-mantra, yantra and stotra are also included for devotees' benefit.
