The Raj Resorts in Goa was busier than usual. In fact, it was busier than New Year’s Gala they host every year. It was, after all, the 50th Anniversary Celebration of The Patel Group of Industries. The arrival of country’s richest and elite has kept the hotel staff on their toes for the past week. Celebrities from the entertainment industry to the most prominent politicians to well-known faces of business world graced the festivities. Mr. Arvind Lal Patel, the group’s Chairman and Managing Director, wanted everything perfect for the gala celebration. Hence, his team dotted every ‘i’ and crossed every ‘t’ to make this event memorable. However, more than the discussions of this grand event, the atmosphere was abuzz with the talks of Mr. Patel’s successor. It was rumored that Mr. Patel would announce the next chairman before the festivities ended. Everyone wanted to know who the next chairman of the great Patel Empire would be. Will it be Mr. Patel’s competent sons-in-law, Rohan or Ajay? Or will it be Rajan, Mr. Patel’s brother’s son? In this race, even the company’s CFO, Swami, was a strong contender. Some thought it would be the daughters, Meera or Myra. Somewhere in between the tension, the sudden and mysterious deaths of the two strongest contenders shocked everyone. Some were happy that the competition was gone, and some couldn’t help but fear for their lives. Who was the killer? But the question that everyone kept asking was, WHO WILL BE THE NEXT CHAIRMAN?
