ABOUT THE BOOK:-Independent India opted for a parliamentary form of democracy for its governance. It was to be a polity based on the principles of democracy, socialism and secularism enshrined in the Preamble of the Constitution. It was a polity to further the norms of equality, freedom and fraternity.
