In course of human development, exclusion has taken the form of segregating women from the social, political, economic, cultural, educational and religious domains of societal life. To do away with social exclusion, inclusion and equity should be proposed. But inclusion is not a passive activity but a well-planned and programmed inclusive mechanisms need to be put in place. Hence social inclusion of women needs to be accompanied with efforts geared towards promoting greater social cohesiveness.
