This is the novelised version of Agatha Christie’s play, Spider’s Web. It is compiled by Charles Osborne. Summary of the Book Clarissa, the second wife of Henry Hailsham-Brown, is well-known for weaving tales of adventure. One day, a murder takes place in her own drawing-room, and she realises that live drama is much harder to deal with. It gets even harder when she suspects that the murderer might be her young stepdaughter, Pippa. Agatha Christie originally wrote the play for actress Margaret Lockwood, and it premiered in London on 13th December, 1954. About Agatha Christie Agatha Christie was an English novelist best known for her murder mystery novels. She created several best-selling storylines centred around timeless characters such as Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple, Tommy and Tuppence and Parker Pyne. Some of her best-known books are Curtain: Poirot’s Last Case, And Then There Were None and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd.
