This book attempts to analyse the issues of globalisation and decentralisation from varied perspectives. Activities are on to stop globalization and yet globalization is being pursued vigorously by all stakeholers. In the same way decentralization is being discussed and everyone is positive towards it and yet it does not happen as in the case of globalization. A series of obstacles and barriers hinder the process of decentralization. Academics, administrators and activists are having a common commitment of protecting and helping the people to gain much from globalization but perspectives on the issues vary from individual to individual. There are individuals who argue that globalization brings both opportunities and threats. Hence preparing the people to make use of the opportunities and to avoid the threats is imperative. The book contains standpoints of eighteen individuals who have rich knowledge, experience and are active in the field of globalization and decentralization.
