Stardust is a fantasy romance novel by Neil Gaiman. Summary of the Book In a peaceful English town near the barrier which divides the normal world from the magical world of Faerie, lives the half-fairy Tristran Thorn. He is desperately in love with Victoria Forester, the town beauty. As he walks her home one night, a shooting star streaks across the sky and falls in Faerie. Tristran immediately vows to bring the star to her in exchange for a kiss, and hopefully her hand in marriage. Victoria is sceptical of his success, and agrees to do whatever he asks if he manages to bring her the star. Tristran sets off on his nearly impossible journey, and this brings him face to face with the someone he didn’t quite expect to meet. And that very person will change Tristran’s life forever and engulf him in adventures involving witches, magical ships and conniving elf-lords.
