DR. Samir Kumar Hui, a resident of Bhadrak city of Odisha state, is presently serving as a reader in English at Dhamnagar Degree College. He has been teaching English language and literature in various colleges under higher Education Department in Odisha. He is actively involved in research and has been conducting workshops on English language communication for many years now. He has used his extensive research and experience to compose this need-based professionally oriented book STRENGTHEN YOUR PROFESSIONAL WRITING . The book aims at enhancing students' understanding of the essentials of professional and technical English used to carry out the various communication activities at workplaces. The book includes a study of writing in a variety of professional contexts with an emphasis on assessing rhetorical situations and crafting messages to inform and persuade diverse audiences in a variety of forms and formats. The book is designed to acquaint the undergraduate students especially the students studying at +3 stage in Odisha with the newly prescribed multi disciplinary course introduced by different universities of Odisha. It will certainly fulfill their needs, develop their writing skills and help them to apply these skills in standard workplace document format. I am sure the book will be an imperative and intimate companion for the students throughout their life.
