The present Textbook of SCIENCE for Class-IX has been written strictly according to the latest syllabus based on NCERT guidelines and decided by Intermediate Education Board, Uttar Pradesh (Prayagraj). The syllabus related to every chapter in the book has been explained in the simplest possible language.Authors request both the teachers and the students to assess the utility of the present textbook keeping in mind the following unique specialties: Latest syllabus concerned with the chapter has been given at the start of every chapter. The authors have presented the syllabus of every chapter in a very simple and clear form. At the end of every chapter of the textbook, "Important Memorable Points" have been given for the purpose of revision, and after that "Miscellaneous Important Numerical Problems" have been added also. At the end of every chapter, a QUESTION BANK has also been given which consists of Objective Questions, Very Short Answer Type Questions, Short Answer Type Questions, Long Answer Type Questions and Numerical Problems. Attempts have been made to provide answers to every type of question along with Hints and. References wherever necessary. Text-based and exercise-based questions from NCERT Textbook have also been solved exactly in the same sequence, as given in the book.
