Isha Majithia retells the story of scripture Sundarkand in a series of 35 paintings.The medium is acrylic colours,crayons,ink and charcoal on paper.The country's first project that pictorially document a scripture undertaken by a young girl.Isha began work on the project when she was six in october 2012 and completed in march 2016.Now 10,the artist proudly presents her debut series in the worlds of arts.The picture book conceptualised and compiled by the young artist's mom,Priya Adhyaru-Majithia, has origin text of Sundarkand in Devanagari Awadhi(an Indo-Aryan regional dialect influenced by Sanskrit) and it's translation in three languages - Gujaratri,Hindi and English, interspread with Isha's paintings.The objective of the project is to include children in promotion, preservation and propagation of our ancient holy texts.
