A classic story of the Last Son of Krypton, Superman For All Seasons is a graphic novel which gives readers a look into the vision people around Superman have of him from the early years of his journey to becoming the Earth's greatest hero. Summary of the Book Superman, they didn't always call him that. There was a time he was just plain old Clark Kent. Jonathan Kent knew him since he was a young boy, he could still remember finding him as a baby in that spacecraft. Not just any young boy though, Clark was Jonathan and Martha's very own son. A gift from the heavens when they had been struggling to have children for decades. He was a gifted child, and Jonathan often worried that Clark would misuse his great powers. He didn't need to, of course. Clark was special, and not just for the powers his alien heritage granted him. He was kind, affectionate and honestly caring towards all human beings. He would go on to do great things, and in doing them, he'd earn the name the world would give him. To young Lois Lane, the man in the red and blue is a mystery she needs to solve no matter what. His arrival in Metropolis changed the rules of the game she'd made into her career. He stopped a nuclear missile from harming Metropolis and captured the submarine which fired it single-handedly. Who is this angel, and what is his mission on Earth? Lex Luthor knows exactly who he is: a menace to all mankind. Flying above them all like a god, this Man of Steel is nothing more than a sensationalized alien cretin come down to rule the world. Lex definitely wouldn't let him do so of course. The world, and especially his beloved city Metropolis, was his for the taking. No one could take care of it like he could. Despite having engineered the accidental submarine incident, Lex only meant well for the city and its people. He would take care of them like no one else could. He was their guardian and protector. This newfound Man of Tomorrow was nothing but a sham, and Lex knew it well. Lana Lang had other ideas in her mind though. The young boy she played with in Smallville, the young man she once dreamt of marrying, was now flying high, and quite literally. He would do great things with his powers, she never had a doubt of that. His parents were blessed, and so was the entire planet, for finding that child and adopting him. The Kent farm only reared good people after all. Clark Kent was strong, powerful, fast and he could fly. But above all, he was unnaturally good. He was a good person, a good man. A Superman. He has won the Eisner Award and Wizard Fan Awards multiple times, and has worked on Batman: Hush, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, Batman: The Long Halloween, and JLA: Our World at War.
