By publishing recent works by both established and younger scholars from many countries, the T.S.Eliot Annual continues the work begun by the editor in the T.S.Eliot Review (1974). Included in this presentation of some of the best critical work recently produced in the field of Eliot studies is a lengthy essay on "Prufrock", a critical essay on "The Passing of the Unified Sensibility" and "Eliot's Peculiar Personae", an examination of specific poems - "Preludes" and "Four Quartets" while there is an investigation into Eliot's classicism through a study of the poet's "allusional method". Eliot's relationship with Oscar Wilde, Tristan Tzara and Arnold Bennett is covered, as is the "Bradleian Vein" in Eliot studies.
