Akhila’s Tamarind is a thought-provoking compendium in verse about life and her personal experience of it. Her words—flowing like a river and exuding fragrances of love, loss, longing, and fear—are a heart-tugging testament to the tamarind-like nature of life, sometimes sweet, sometimes sour, and can carry the willing reader down memory lane where lie their own stories, perhaps long forgotten, of love, loss, longing, even fear.
