Amba Haldi is recognized as a medicinal herb with strong anti biotic properties. It stimulates the production of bite, a digestion juice needed digestion of fat. It has anti inflammatory and diabetic properties. It is useful in leucoderma, piles, bronchitis, asthma, tumours, tuberculous glands of the neck (Galgand), enlargement of the spleen, epileptic seizure and skin diseases. The fresh root is considered cooling and diuretic. It checks leukorrheal and purifies the blood.
