Tantri the Mantri is a an evil minister whose only aim in life is to dethrone the gullible King Hooda in ever clever way possible. This comic book is among the popular ones in the Amar Chitra Katha or the Tinkle Comics. Summary of the Book Amar Chitra Katha was the first comic book to make the character Tantri the Mantri a popular figure in Indian comic books. Later, the comic book Tinkle came to be extremely well known among comic lover in India. Tantri the Mantri is about this evil sinister minister who who has tried every trick in the book to get rid of the naive King Hooda who loves laddoos. In doing so, he need to pretend to be the King’s most loyal and favourite subject. He has tried many clever ways to achieve this but his plans have always managed to fail or backfire for some reason or the other. This book is Tinkles collections of the famous Tantri and the many ways he has plotted to do away with the King and failed miserably. About the Author Anant Pai was an Indian educationist and a pioneer of Indian Comics.He is famous for being the creator of the comic book series: Amar Chitra Katha and Tinkle. He is a dual degree owner from the University of Bombay.
