Tantri the Mantri continues his attempts to assassinate King Hooja and take his place on the throne of Hujli in Volume 2 of Tinkle’s Tantri the Mantri collection. Summary of the Book It’s not easy being a smart minister whose boss is a very naive and rather stupid king. It’s hard enough to do all of his tasks for him, and receive none of the credit. Having had enough of King Hooja’s incompetence, Tantri, the rather frustrated mantri, decides to take matters into his own hands. He decides to off King Hooja and sit on the throne himself. However, luck doesn’t seem to be on Tantri’s side. Every attempt of his turns into a life-saver for King Hooja, and Tantri can’t seem to catch a break! About Tinkle Magazine Tinkle is a monthly magazine for children. It was founded by Anant Pai, who also founded the Amar Chitra Katha series. Tinkle is currently owned by ACK Media which also publishes the Amar Chitra Katha series of books which strive to educate children about the wealth and wisdom of Indian mythology.
