White Peas are also known as thathastu in some parts of India, mainly grown and harvested from Noth India and some parts of West India. White peas are a great base for so many recipes. Mostly used in curries and originates from India. As green peas are not available around the year, white peas make for a perfect replacement for them. It is also known as safed matar.
