This book examines the usefulness of PRA tools in agro-ecosystem analysis. Analysing the strategies and methodologies being adopted in the country and abroad leading to the recognition of the farmer participatory approaches, it provides practical application of various PRA tools with a number of examples and illustrations for agro-ecosystem analysis. Prioritization of problems and problem-cause analysis have also been used for identification of intervention points where technology is brought in for testing and refinement and then its transfer to make it possible to be integrated in the agro-ecosystem. Indigenous technical knowledge has been included in the discussion for validity testing. The book is useful for students, researchers and extension workers.
