Tender Hooks is a delightful novel of wit and wickedness, written by the Pakistani author, Moni Mohsin. Summary of the Book Aunt Pussy has released her precious son, Jonkers, from the grasps of his low class, slutty secretary. She has charged Butterfly with finding him a new wife – a rich, fair, gorgeous, and homely girl. But who wants to wed the pitiable, simple Jonkers? As Butterfly schemes her way through several other weddings, social gatherings, and kitty parties trying to find an appropriate girl, she finds out to her disappointment that her luckless cousin, after all, has his own thoughts about his perfect mate. What’s worse? Surprisingly, she may even agree! Tender Hooks is another entertaining romp through the high societies of Pakistan by Mohsin. About Moni Mohsin Moni Mohsin is a notable Pakistani columnist and author. She was born in the year 1963. She studied at the reputed Cambridge University and started Pakistan’s first environmental magazine. Moni’s columns are frequently published in several newspapers and magazines, including The Guardian, Vogue, The Nation, and Boston Review among others. Her book, The Diary of a Social Butterfly, is a compilation of chosen articles from her column featured in The Friday Times. Some of the other books penned by Moni Mohsin are The Return of the Butterfly and The End of Innocence.
