This text book on marine engineering has been written keeping in view the studentsrequirement to fulfill their course requirement.It deals with the subjects of safety precautions and watch keeping, shipsafety and environment protection and marine boilers and steam turbines.The students from Anna University, Indian Maritime University and other marineengineering colleges who are pursuing various marine engineering courses to serve atsea will find it very useful.It is aimed at understanding the theory, construction, operation and maintenance ofvarious equipments onboard in the fields of safety precautions and watch keeping,ship safety and environment protection and marine boilers and steam turbines.Wherever necessary, the rules requirement in the subject concerned is also given forthe understanding of the students. It is believed that the students will acquire a fairlygood idea of the subject by studying this book.
