This new addition to the 5-Minute Consult Series contains more than 300 entries covering all aspects of adult critical care and pediatric considerations where appropriate. Each entry is presented on a two-page spread in a consistent format, with bulleted and listed information on definition of the disorder, pathophysiology, diagnosis, medications, surgical interventions, and complications. Where appropriate, entries include a pediatric considerations heading. Algorithms for common and complex diagnoses and treatment options are presented in a special section. A companion website will offer the fully searchable text.
