Summary of the Book Although logical explanations to operations of the human brain haven’t been discovered, this book makes a thorough study of evolution to understand the subject. The author discusses about the brain’s capacity for myriad emotions including memories, relationships, its ability to make religious and scientific assumptions and logic. It also delves into the biological analysis of our mental functions, keeping in mind the complex neurological arrangement that millions of years of evolution has come to, to the present day. The book is compelling because it offers the details of the unforeseen evolution of our species. Although this book talks about biochemistry, neurology and evolution, it is easy to understand for the non-science readers as well. About the Author David J Linden is an American born author. He is the professor of neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Neurophysiology. The Independent Publisher Association has awarded him a silver medal in the Science category for his contribution.
