The Best of Me is a novel by award-winning author, Nicholas Sparks. Summary of the Book There was no couple in love like Amanda Collier and Dawson Cole were in high school. The distance between them was made up for by the love that they had for each other. However, senior year came to an end and so did their relationship. Years later, Amanda and Dawson are back at school to attend the funeral of a mentor who supported their love back then. The two have never been able to forget the love they had for each other and its impact on their lives.
