Sophie and the Big Friendly Giant have grown quite close and decide to help the children who face threat in the hands of the other human-eating giants. Soon, BFG and her are going to use what they know to stop more children from being eaten. Summary of the Book At first, Sophie is startled by the appearance of BFG, Big Friendly Giant. When he takes her to his home, she gets to talking to him and realizes that BFG is the only good giant and the rest go around eating little children. While the other giants are busy terrorizing the world, the Big Friendly Giant goes around collecting good dreams and distributes them among children. Sophie decides to take his help to stop the other giants. She convinces him to visit the Queen of England and warn her about the evil giants. At the palace, the Queen gets to know of the horrid truth and makes plans to take action against the terrible giants. Will they be able to stop the other giants with BFG’s help? About Roald Dahl Roald Dahl was a British short story writer, novelist, poet, fighter pilot and screenwriter. He was born to Norwegian parents and served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. During this time, he became an intelligence officer and a flying ace. He rose to the rank of Acting Wing Commander. His short stories are popularly known for their unexpected endings, and his children’s stories are unsentimental with a bit of dark humour.
