This is a translation of the holy book by Mahatma Gandhi. Summary of the Book The Bhagavad Gita is considered to be one of the foremost treatises on philosophy and the concept of Dharma. In its 700 verses, one can find the answer to life, the universe and the explanation of why human beings are repeatedly put through birth and death cycles. Lord Krishna explains that liberation comes to those who uphold Dharma. Arjuna's Dharma was to kill and reinstate his family as the rightful rulers of Hastinapura. Krishna explains that man's repeated failure to uphold his Dharma is why he manifests himself, time and again, to set right the path that humanity strays onto.
