About Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda, who was born as Mukunda Lal Ghosh, was a prominent spiritual guru and yogi from India. Born in 1893, in Uttar Pradesh, Yogananda popularised Yoga in the Western world. He is also the founder of SRF (Self-Realization Fellowship) and YSS (Yogoda Satsanga Society) of India. He died at the age of 59 in 1952.
