His major scholarly contribution was a detailed biography of 18th-century antiquary Moses Williams, published in 1937 by the University of Wales Press. This work reflects his dedication to Welsh literary heritage. Davies died in Cardiff in March 1940 and was buried in Llanishen, leaving behind a lasting legacy in Welsh historical research.
