Before he can finish the message, he is poisoned by a dart dipped in the Rajaijah juice, the poison of madness. Tintin and Snowy travel to China. They meet Mitsuhirato who tells them they are actually needed in India and tells them to go back. On board the ship bound for India, Tintin and Snowy are kidnapped and taken back to China. The leader of the society, Wang Chen-Yee, tells him that Mitsuhirato lied to him, that he is a Japanese agent and also a drug smuggler.
