Summary of the Book During the Klondike Gold Rush, Buck, a domesticated St. Bernard-Scotch Collie, is torn away from his home on a ranch by thieves. They sell him to a new master who puts him to work as an Alaskan snow dog. The huskies fight the strange dog for dominion, but Buck fights back.
