The story begins with the introduction of a new character, a giant named Mustafa, who wishes to capture the Cowardly Lion and keep him as a pet. Mustafa, who lives in a land far from the Emerald City, is determined to fulfill his wish despite the Lion’s reluctance.Meanwhile, we meet another new character, an orphan boy named Bob Up, who lives in the land of Mudge. Bob Up dreams of adventure and excitement, and his wishes soon come true when he encounters Mustafa, who is on his way to capture the Cowardly Lion. Bob becomes involved in Mustafa's quest, and through a series of events, he finds himself in the magical Land of Oz.
