About Arthur Miller Arthur Miller was an American playwright, essayist, and a prominent figure in the twentieth century. Some of the plays that he has written are: All My Sons, Death of a Salesman, The Crucible, and A View from the Bridge. He has also written the screenplay for the film The Misfits. Miller was often in the public eye, especially during the late 1940s, 1950s, and early 1960s. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Drama during this time. He received the Prince of Asturias Award in 2002 and Jerusalem Prize in 2003.
