Flipkart Official Review A model falls to her death from a snow-covered Mayfair balcony. Everyone thinks it is suicide – a case that needs to be shut. The brother is doubtful. Enters private detective Cormoron Strike, with his own haunting past, wanting to solve the crime at any cost. This in short is the plot of “The Cuckoo’s Calling” – written by J.K. Rowling under the pseudonym of Robert Galbraith. The literary world has been going crazy with the revelation of the writer. Despite that and more so probably beyond that, the book is stupendously written. Strike makes for a great detective – almost as good as Poirot or Maigret. The pages just keep turning with this one and the reader will not realize when the book is over. “The Cuckoo’s Calling” is ace-crime fiction. It doesn’t relent and doesn’t get boring at any given time. The book is one great treat to sink into this fall.
