Amethyst Heart in the City is the first installment in the epic tale of The Dark Light. It is a series of six books. The tale starts with a boy named Pratik, a shy and self-doubting boy, living with his step-uncle, who was being brought up by Pratik's grandparents. Pratik eventually turns toward the old house, next to his home in the Golstide city, and finds magical books. Later he gets call from a wizard. But he doesn't know that a thick plotting runs under his nose.
